While writing website copy and print copy are different, you can use the general guildelines below to improve your returns and marketing messages on both.</strong></p>
<p><strong>1. </strong>Have a headline that attracts your target audiences attention. Use a customer benefit solution headline, us the word &#8216;YOU&#8217; in headline or even include your offer in the headline. &#8220;Get to the meat early.&#8221;</p>
<p><strong>2.</strong> Make sure you read your copy out loud to someone so you can hear where sentences should end and begin and if the copy you wrote makes sense.</p>
<p><strong>3</strong>. Use  testimonials.</p>
<p><strong>4.</strong> Include your guarantee. The longer your guarantee the better off you&#8217;ll be and testimonials build credibility with new prospects.</p>
<p><strong>5.</strong> Break up large paragraphs of copy with subheaders. People are scan readers.</p>
<p><strong>6</strong>. Use images, people think in pictures.</p>
<p><strong>7.</strong> Use a PS. Use your offer as a close in your PS, to drive home your guarantee, add any free bonus you have in your offer or as a call to action.</p>
<p><strong>8.</strong> Break up sentences and paragraphs. Don&#8217;t have paragraphs of copy that are all 4 lines in length.</p>
<p><strong>9</strong>. Use a case study in your print marketing, company profiles, website or blogs.</p>
<p><strong>10</strong>. Write in terms of benefits using the language and tone your target audience use.</p>
<p><strong>11.</strong> Have a call to action. Tell people what desired action you&#8217;d like them to take.</p>
<p>Now there are lot&#8217;s more so if you have one of your own, we&#8217;d love to hear it.</p>

<h3><strong>What&#8217;s a website landing page?</strong></h3>
<p><strong> </strong></p>
<p>A website ‘landing page’, ‘squeeze page’ or jump page’ is a web page you land on or are sent to from an email with a link in it.</p>
<p>Okay, so why not send them directly to your website home page?</p>
<p>Well, let’s say you’re having a seminar, selling a new product or you have a new service and you want to generate qualified leads.</p>
<p>If you send them to your website home page there’s a good chance your prospect may have trouble finding your offer which means they may end up getting lost on your website.</p>
<p>This also means they lose interest and leave your website or they’ll keep looking around your site and forget about the special offer you wanted to make them aware of in the first place. With a dedicated website landing you take people directly to the whitepaper, free report download, webinar, seminar, teleseminar or offer you want them to respond to or register for.</p>
<h3><strong>Here’s some quick and easy tips and the format to writing a great website landing page of your own! </strong></h3>
<p><strong> </strong></p>
<p><strong>1. Thank them – </strong>Acknowledge they are in the right place with a sentence such as Thanks for responding to the email we sent you recently. Doing this ensures they know they are in the right place the second they hit your landing page as it a page specially created for them and contributes to ongoing communication which also builds trust.</p>
<p><strong>2. Keep it short and simple – </strong>have a primary or core headline to support your email or offer.</p>
<p><strong>3. Capture name and email address</strong> – Make sure your have an email address and name capture field on your landing page. Why? Because the whole point of this is to get people who are interested at whatever level they may be to put their hands up.</p>
<p>When they respond by entering their name and email address on your landing page they are saying yes I am interested or yes I want to buy your book or whatever it is you are offering on your landing page.</p>
<p>Examples: Landing pages can be used to register for a webinar, download a free report, take advantage of a special offer, product or service, receive free marketing tips and much more.</p>
<p><strong>4. Make it short, make it sweet </strong>– Don’t make your landing page copy or the content on the page over the top or intensive. People are time poor, don&#8217;t like sharing too much personal information and if you make it a lot of copy to read, they’ll give you the flick.</p>
<p><strong>5. Build Trust and credibility, reduce skeptics</strong> – I usually feature a short testimonial on the website landing pages that supports the offer, product or service when I write website landing pages for my clients. The reason I do that is it helps build credibility and trust with people and helps support the claim or offer on the landing page.</p>
<p><strong>6. Privacy </strong>– People are hesitant about giving out their personal information online so make sure you have privacy policy that’s clear and easy to understand but not 4 pages long.</p>
<p><strong>Following up – </strong>Whatever the purpose of your landing page is or was and people have taken you up on your offer make sure you follow up on them using email auto responders, phone, print or electronic communications. Whatever works best for you?</p>
<p>This lead generation and strategy is to get people to raise their hands and express a level of interest, capture their name and email address to help build your database with qualified people so they enter your marketing funnel.</p>

<p>3. With your own original content , you have the opportunity to show your businesses personality, get your message across about why your product or service is better  or different than your competitors.</p>

<p>When writing website copy, don&#8217;t just copy the content from a existing brochure, flyer, print ad or worse a competitor. Be original, be yourself and take your time.</p>

I love my rock music live and loud and Pearl Jam didn&#8217;t dissapoint! It was engaging, captivating, inspiring and they played for two and half hours non-stop. So so if you get the chance to see them, do it. It&#8217;s a top shelf rock concert experience unlike any other! <p>1. <strong>Website visitors are time poor and goal orientated</strong>. They know what they want and are looking for the product or service that is of benefit to them, so put your biggest sales guns upfront to engage them and start rapport.</p>
<p>2. <strong>Website visitors are scan readers</strong> with a large percentage sitting up late at night so use subheaders to attract their eye and get their attention.</p>
<p>3. <strong>Reading a computer screen is harder to read</strong> than paper, so lay out your website copy in small easy to read chunks.</p>
<p>4. Even though website designers and website developers will disagree with me, I like to make it easy for people to contact me there and then while they are on my website. It eliminates clicking here and clicking there and the person getting annoyed, that&#8217;s why I like to feature contact details on every page.</p>
<p>5. Before you write a single word, ask yourself who is visiting your website and what do they want ? Then based on your experiences cut out a photo of your target audience from a magazine, stick it on your computer and write to that person.</p>
<p>6. Have a free offer, free report or something to encourage them to take action today and so you can start building a relationship with them.</p>
