<p>As business owners you and I both know these days we need more than just one source of lead generation for our business.</p>
<p>So, over the next few bulletin blast editions you&#8217;re in for a treat because I&#8217;ll be sharing some of most popular lead generation strategies I and others use  that you can put to work in your own business as well. Some may be strategies you&#8217;ve heard or used before. Some may work for you, some may not but if your sick high priced advertising that brings little or no results you owe it to yourself and your business to at least test them.</p>
<p><strong>Okay here&#8217;s five lead generation strategies for February.</strong></p>
<h3><strong>1. Preferred Customer Card.</strong></h3>
<p><strong> </strong>This is a small card about the size of a business card I use and send to my customers who have spent a certain amount of money with me. This helps turn one times buyers into two, three and more times buyers and entitles my customers to specific services and price savings from Eddie&#8217;s Copywriting &amp; Marketing Centre.</p>
<h3><strong>2. Use fax broadcasts.</strong></h3>
<p>In this day and age of electronic media, some businesses are receiving quite good results using fax broadcasts on their acquisition (new customer campaigns) and their back-end (previous customers campaigns). Something to at least consider.</p>
<h3><strong>3. Online Forums. </strong></h3>
<p>I&#8217;ll say it once and I&#8217;ll say it again. &#8220;People love to buy, but hate to be sold.&#8221; Based on my experiences, taking part, offering your opinion and giving advice where people are asking for it and not selling in online forums is invaluable to helping build relationships with people around the corner or around the world. It also helps position you as the go to expert in your chosen field and helps drive brand awareness.</p>
<h3><strong>4. Write a report and give strategic alliances permission to rebrand it as their own.</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Step 1.</strong> First write a report that your target audience would find useful. 11 Tips to writing a company brochure as an example.</p>
<p><strong>Step 2.</strong> Let one or more strategic alliance services you have know that they can rebrand your report as their own and offer it to their clients. In my case I could offer my report to printers, website design and development companies, network groups, media, marketing service companies, online forums and a few more businesses.</p>
<p><strong>Step 3. </strong>The only requirement for them to rebrand your report and use it as their own is to make sure the report still has your web links in it.</p>
<h3><strong>5. Create traffic and leads with your Email signature files.</strong></h3>
<p>We all receive, read and reply to plenty of emails each day so instead of just having your name, logo and contact details on the bottom of your emails let&#8217;s help drive some traffic to your website and build your database with a percentage of qualified prospects.</p>
<p><strong>Just include something of value for people that&#8217;s free on your website or that people have to phone you for.</strong></p>

<p>Most people use email to communicate with suppliers, friends, prospects, co-workers, and family in their own voice, personality and tone right? So with that in mind let’s get into it…</p>

<p><strong>Focus on your reader</strong></p>
<p>No matter what you&#8217;re writing or whom you&#8217;re writing to, you are writing to one person who has thoughts and feelings of their own. So, a great way to keep one persons attention is to make the email about him or her. Focus the email on them. Keep in mind that your reader is time poor, and even if they do know you they need to know early on that the email is about them <strong>so get to the meat early</strong> for your reader.</p>

<p>Showing the reader you care about them using your passion, personality and honesty in your email tone is a proven formula to having your reader feel like you understand them. Before writing your email ask yourself Why are you writing to them? What benefit do you want them to get out of it? When you do this sincerely your reader will feel like you understand them. It shows you are there to help them.</p>

<p><strong>Stay focused on the one big idea</strong></p>
<p>If there is too much information and too many ideas in your email the reader will become confused and fail to understand the message you&#8217;re trying to deliver. So before writing your email (and any other copy), write what the big idea is and what the purpose of your email is. What is the one specific thought, feeling, or action you want to stimulate or inspire them to take?</p>

<p><strong>Make it an easy read</strong></p>
<p>Avoid writing your email copy so it goes across the entire screen and having big blocks of copy as they are harder to read. Keep the copy in your email in short chunks and use subheads to break up copy so it is an easy read for the reader.</p>

Are you a business in love with your logo?</strong> If you are replace the huge logo at the topof your card, with a customer benefit or hook headline targeted at your audiences needs, wants or desires!It’s all about what’s in for them <strong>so get their attention straight up with a customer benefit!</strong></p>
<p><strong>#2.Use a photograph on</strong> your card so people get to remember you. This is really powerful when you are building your brand your image and your business.</p>
<p><strong>#3.Don’t skimp; get your business card</strong> professionally designed and printed. If you can’t afford $150 or so for business cards go to vistaprint.com and you can usually get free business cards using a range of templates they have. I think all you pay for is the postage.</p>
<p><strong>#4.Featuring a customer testimonial on your business</strong> card is fantastic. Testimonials give people further insight into your product or service or how you can help them and boosts your credibility with new prospects instantly because they can see, you have satisfied customers!</p>
<p><strong>#5.Why not put an offer on your business card?</strong> Whether it&#8217;s a Buy one get one free offer, a free report, a $7 initial consultation fee&#8230; your choices are endless just make sure it adds value for your potential customers and before you create an offer ask yourself this  “Is this something someone would pay for if it wasn’t for free?”</p>

<p><strong>#7.</strong> Feature your memory hook so you keep sending the same message consistently. You can take that one step further to drive your message byincluding your tagline or memory hook in your fax headers, web site, emails, sales letters, flyers and so on with a testimonial</p>
<p><strong>#8. </strong>Watch your fonts! Too many fonts confuse the eye and your message gets lost. A competent Graphic designer will help you avoid this all too easy trap!</p>
